Máscara is a 30-minute comedy horror stage play that chronicles the individual experiences of a Latinx trans-masculine person during their gender affirming medical transition. This project was presented at Outsider Fest 2025. Photos are by Cruz and Ruben Sepulveda.

For many cisgender individuals, the challenges faced by transgender people while navigating medical environments are frequently overlooked. The complexities involved in medical transition are even less understood. From hormone replacement therapy to surgery and the societal perceptions that follow, drag kings Bobby Pudrido and Solovino invite the audience to feel and reflect on the intense emotions of horror, panic, and dread that they experience throughout their transitions.

The live play, written by and starring the artists, includes drag performances, visual effects, and video production.
